Description

“DNS GINSENG” is a short, slow growing perennial herbaceous plant with fleshy roots, belonging to the genus Panax of the family Araliaceae used to make medicine.  Over five thousand years ago, in the mountains of Manchuria, China, Panax ginseng was commonly used for its rejuvenating powers.  The benefits of ginseng were first documented during China’s Liang Dynasty (220 to 589 AD).  Different varieties of ginseng root have been used as treatments in Asia and North America for centuries.

According to Botanists and Herbalists Panax ginseng contains many active substances.  The most important substances are called ginsenosides or panaxosides. Ginsenosides is the term coined by Asian researchers, and the term panaxosides was chosen by early Russian researchers.  Studies have found that the different types have different benefits.  Ginseng is one of the most popular herbal remedies in the world today.
